Bonsai Films is a boutique film business managing theatrical and home entertainment releases and TV, streaming and ancillary exploitation. Bonsai Films produces and executive produces projects, with expertise in film development, finance and production.
Founded by Jonathan Page in 2008, Bonsai Films has licensed $50 million of TV and ancillary content and has excellent relationships with all the Australian independent film distributors.
Bonsai Films has released numerous films on Australian and New Zealand cinema screens and been responsible for launching films at the Cannes & Sundance Film Festivals as well as other international and Australian festivals.
Prior to establishing Bonsai Films, Jonathan Page worked with Icon Films and Dendy Films in international sales and domestic distribution and film financing with the Macquarie Nine Film Fund.
Jonathan began his film career in his native Canada and worked in London and San Francisco prior to coming to Australia. He holds an MBA in Arts Management and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama.
