Bonsai Films is a leading Australian film distributor focusing on fresh and original feature films and documentaries.

We manage all rights across festivals, cinema, airlines, broadcast and streaming and aim to find the best distribution model across a rapidly evolving entertainment landscape.  We aim to reach audiences with effective, individually tailored release campaigns and collaborate closely with filmmakers to deliver results.

Our primary focus is on Australian films and new Australian voices. Our films have won awards from festivals and guilds around Australia and at major international festivals.

Over the past 15 years, we have built a successful brand, striving to deliver exciting, curated content that is challenging, topical, thought-provoking and distinctive.  We are developing new strategies to meet the challenges facing the industry, but we are energetic and nimble to ensure we continue to offer fresh, bold content for audiences in Australia and New Zealand.
